Rooms at the Banff Ptarmigan Inn have Mountain Luxury bedding, flat-screen TVs, wireless internet, and in-room coffee and tea. Room 346 features a large window with views of the street and mountains. Rooms have maple furnishings, natural tones, and Canadian artwork. Some rooms include a private balcony. Rooms feature either two queen-size beds or one queen-size bed. The lower-level health club includes two hot tubs, a steam room and sauna, and a small gym. Guests also receive complimentary bus passes for the duration of their stay. A free shuttle to the Banff Gondola and Upper Hot Springs picks up outside the Elk + Avenue, which is also a stop for the Route 1 public bus toward Sulphur Mountain.

The INN is within walking distance of downtown. Nearby landmarks include the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies (0.5 km), St. Paul's Presbyterian Church (0.5 km), Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity (2 km), and Banff Avenue (0.5 km). Services to Lake Louise and Johnston Canyon are available for an additional fee. Brewster Banff Airport Express provides express service from the Calgary International Airport to Banff. The Elk + Avenue, right next door, is a stop for the Route 1 public bus toward Sulphur Mountain. Onsite parking is available, although taller vehicles may have issues.
